ITV2 Nail Polish Ident Motion Graphics Analyses

ITV2

The TV ident i am going to analyse was created for ITV2 called Nail Polish. TV idents are station identification of a television channel allowing themselves to be identified on air and allowing viewers to associate programmes with the channel to determine its target audience and ratings.
In the ad we see a nail polish being knocked over and the journey it take as the nail polish reaches the floor. Different objects start to appear branching out of the polish all of which are associated with glamour suggesting the channel is aimed at a social modern audience. We see different accories such as handbags, makeup and jewlary appear on screen as 3d images. Champagne is then poured into several different glasses. All of the colours used in the ident are strong rich colours the main colour being an opaque dark red using opacity as the light apperas to be reflecting of the varnish creating a shimmering effect this also introduces the use of colour rendering as it shiny. Colour rendering has also being used as the diamonds appear on screen and begin to shine as they reflect the light, matte colours have also being used . The ident has being created using cgi and animation. Compositing video has being used as different images have being superimposed and layed over the top of one another  allowing one image to be portrayed on screen as different objects appear. The overall resolution of the ident is very high quality , the ideant has being created using a standard screen ratio 4:3.
